Chase is on the Canute College meteorlogy tornado chase team in 2010, competing in the Green Skies competition to earn at $100,000,000 grant. Chase's role is fixing the things that break, which if often, due to the sabotage.
Chase took a class from Scott Varnell the previos semester and supposedly became enthrolled with the subject. However, he was looking for oil to get rich, and even stole Pa's diving rod. When Scott is arrested for the sabotage of the team, though, Debbie helps bring out Chase's love for meteorology and he stays on the team.
Chase also loves to eat candy.
